Aarti

At 23, Aarti is a determined young woman from Uttar Pradesh, now living in Sanjay Colony, Okhla Phase 2, Delhi. She is pursuing B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science from Delhi University and currently teaching at Learning by Locals. Before joining the Learning by Locals Emerge Fellowship, Aarti struggled with self-doubt and fear. She depended on others for small decisions, lacked confidence in speaking up, and had limited exposure to digital tools. Through the fellowship, she developed a growth mindset, improved her communication skills, and became self-reliant. Today, she supports her family, travels independently, and confidently manages her responsibilities. Her dream of becoming a primary teacher is now supported by real experience and strong self-belief. Aarti’s journey reflects transformation — from hesitation to confidence, and from dependence to leadership.

Chandni Rawat

Chandni, 24, is a determined young woman from Uttar Pradesh who has grown into independence and confidence through the Learning by Locals Emerge Fellowship. Before joining the fellowship, she struggled with self-doubt, lack of family support, and dependency on others. She was not allowed to travel alone and felt unsure about her future. Today, Chandni lives independently in Haryana, supports her family financially, and confidently makes her own decisions. Her journey reflects transformation — from fear and limitation to strength and self-reliance

At 24, Chandni continues to demonstrate courage and adaptability. After completing her B.A. in Political Science, she remains focused on securing stable employment while nurturing her dream of acting. Her experience of stepping up during her family’s financial crisis in 2023 shaped her into a responsible and proactive young woman. The fellowship strengthened her communication skills and confidence — tools that now support both her professional aspirations and personal growth. Chandni represents bold ambition grounded in responsibility.

Chandini Singh

Komal

At 21, Komal stands as a responsible and capable young professional. After completing her graduation, she continues to build her expertise in accounting and financial tools. The eldest child of seven, she carried responsibility early in life — but today, she carries it with confidence. Her technical skills in MS Office, Tally, Canva, and digital tools have strengthened over the years. Komal is steadily moving toward her goal of becoming an accountant and financially stabilizing her family. She is no longer just supporting her household emotionally — she is preparing to support it economically.

Ladli

At just 22 years old, Ladli is a determined young woman born and raised in Delhi, Completed her Graduation. Growing up in Harkesh Nagar, she always believed education would be her path toward independence and confidence. Through the Emerge Fellowship at Learning by Locals, Ladli is strengthening her communication skills and building her confidence in English and computers. What once felt like hesitation has now transformed into self-belief. Her short-term goal is to successfully complete her Emerge classes and gain strong digital and language skills. Her long-term dream is to become an English teacher — not just as a profession, but as a way to inspire other girls like her. With talents in speaking, singing, dancing, painting, and teaching, Ladli represents a young woman who is discovering her power — one skill at a time.

At 21, Laxmi has transitioned from a dependent teenager to a self-driven young woman working toward financial independence. After continuing her graduation, she has become more confident in both communication and digital literacy. The fellowship played a critical role in shaping her mindset — teaching her that independence begins with skill-building. Today, she is actively working toward her goal of becoming a teacher and contributing financially to her family. Laxmi’s journey reflects resilience. What once felt like limitation has now become motivation.

Neelima

At 23, Neelima’s transformation through technology remains one of the strongest examples of digital empowerment. What began as learning basic Google tools has evolved into confident digital usage and presentation skills. She now navigates online platforms with independence and creativity. The exposure she gained during the fellowship expanded her imagination — from being restricted at home to envisioning wider opportunities. Today, she carries both skill and confidence.

Preeti

At 22, Preeti has matured into a determined young graduate with stronger communication skills and clearer career direction. The fellowship helped her step beyond hesitation and build confidence in English and presentation skills. She continues preparing toward her goal of becoming a teacher, inspired by her parents’ hard work. Preeti’s journey reflects quiet strength — steady growth, steady ambition, and steady progress.

Priya

Priya is a dedicated and confident fellow of the Learning by Locals Emerge Fellowship with strong computer and teaching skills. She has knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and basic Tally, along with the ability to teach computer fundamentals. Through the fellowship, she strengthened her communication skills, adaptability, and confidence in speaking publicly. She learned planning skills, student management, relationship building, and the importance of basic mathematics. The program helped her develop patience, improve her speaking style, and become more hardworking and self-managed. Priya’s journey reflects steady growth — from learning technical skills to confidently leading and teaching others.

Salma

At 25, Salma has expanded her vision beyond sewing at home. The skills she gained in English and digital literacy have opened new exposure and possibilities. Her dream of becoming a fashion designer is still alive — but now it carries clearer direction and stronger confidence. She continues refining her stitching skills while exploring ways to professionalize her craft. Salma’s growth shows that transformation is not always loud — sometimes it is steady, consistent, and powerful.
