Emerge Batch 9

Empowering women through our nine batch.

Reeta

My name is Reeta and I am 19 years old. I have completed my 12th and recently joined the Emerge Fellowship to build my confidence and employability skills. I come from a nuclear family and I consider myself a self-motivated person.

My dream is to become a Flight Attendant because I want to be part of the growing travel and hospitality industry in India. I joined Emerge because I wanted to become more confident and prepare myself for my future career.

When I first came to Emerge, I was very nervous. But when I introduced myself to everyone, I noticed a big change in myself. I started feeling more confident. During the theatre activity, I also overcame my fear of performing on stage. Emerge has helped me believe in myself and become more comfortable expressing myself.

Kripa

My name is Kripa and I am 20 years old. I completed my 12th from the CBSE Board in 2024. I am a hardworking person and I understand people’s feelings and words well.

I want to become an independent person and I also dream of becoming a dancer. My friend encouraged me to join Emerge because I was sitting at home and wanted to do something productive. I had also taken dance classes earlier.

At first, I found it difficult to wake up early, convince my parents and adjust to a new environment. But I continued attending the classes. At Emerge, I learned basic Maths, computer skills, communication, teamwork and time management. I have become more confident and active, and now I believe in myself more.

Khushi Thakur

My name is Khushi Thakur and I am 20 years old. I am an introverted person. I completed my 12th from the Arts stream and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree.

I want to become a teacher. My friend’s growth inspired me to join Emerge. On my first day, I felt happy to meet new people and learn about the program.

During my five months at Emerge, I have become more patient and have understood myself better. My communication and problem-solving skills have improved. The Chair Activity taught me an important lesson — we should understand a question properly before responding. Emerge has helped me discover my strengths and improve the way I approach challenges.

Khushi

My name is Khushi and I am 19 years old. I have completed my 12th and have applied for Engineering in Computer Science. I am a confident person and come from a nuclear family.

I want to become a Software Engineer because I like computers, coding and technology. I joined Emerge because I wanted to improve my English, Maths, computer and employability skills.

When I first joined Emerge, I was nervous. Earlier, I rarely spoke up, found teamwork difficult and hesitated to take initiative. One of my biggest achievements was performing in a theatre production in front of more than 500 people. This experience helped me overcome my fear of speaking in front of a large audience. Today, I feel much more confident and believe I can achieve my goals.

I want to become a Flight Attendant because I love travelling and want to explore the world. I joined Emerge to build my confidence and improve my communication skills.

When I first came to Emerge, I felt nervous. Earlier, I did not talk much with my teammates. During one of our activities, we had to share each other’s qualities, which helped me communicate more with my teammates. Slowly, I became more comfortable talking to others. I have also developed a habit of waking up early. Emerge has helped me become more confident and take a step towards my dream.
